Halloween-L Subscription Information
The Halloween List provides a place for Halloween ghouls to exchange ideas and information. This includes all things Halloween. Please note that the list normally gets 100 to 150 messages a day, but that may grow to Over 300 Messages a Day during the Halloween Season. Please do not subscribe if you are not prepared for that volume of mail!

Method 2: If the above does not work, then you will have to create the email by hand. This is not too difficult. Just create a new email message and send it to:
You can leave the rest of the message empty. Anything you do put there will be ignored. Once you have created the message, just click the send button. To unsubscribe, do the same thing, but change the -Join to -Leave
Note that the list requires that all posts come from people who are subscribed to the list, so make sure that the address that you subscribe from is the same one that you will be sending messages from. |

Standard list rules apply: No cussn', flaming, or spamming. Volators will be removed. This is a friendly, social list, but we try to stay on topic.
Messages containing URLs are encouraged. Messages with enclosures (aka attachments) are rejected. They can spread viruses.
Product announcements from companies that have to do with Halloween supplies, construction, and events are allowed, but keep them simple (less than one paragraph) and provide a URL for the bulk of the message. Provide information, not marketing junk. One post is enough to inform people. If the product is good listers word-of-mouth will be your best tool.
If you stop getting messages from the list, it may be because I have been getting bounce messages back when the list tries to send to you. The only way I have to resolve these is to delete you. If this happens, clear up your email problems, then resubscribe.
Questions to the list can range from basic to complex. No one is an expert in all fields. If you do not know, and cannot find the answer in the available doc, ask. If we get a question too often, we can create a FAQ. Even the so-called 'dumb' questions help a lot of people, even the old timers as they will often bring to mind a new thought or idea. So Lurkers, don't be afraid to post!
Please try to keep your signature lines short. It is recommended that you use four lines or less. When you reply to a message, please delete the List footer from the bottom of the reply. A new one will be added by the listserv and they tend to stack up.
I will let you know if I think that something is getting out of hand.
